About Our Vietnamese Iced Coffee

Cà Phê Sữa Đá — Vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk — is a beverage so beloved that it has become an icon of Vietnamese culture itself. At TNK Vietnamese Restaurant in NE Calgary, we brew ours the right way: a Vietnamese phin filter slowly drips strong, dark-roast coffee directly onto a layer of sweetened condensed milk in the glass.

Once the brewing is done, we stir the coffee and milk together until smooth, then pour the entire glass over ice. The result is the perfect balance of bold coffee bitterness, creamy sweetness and refreshing chill. It pairs beautifully with our pho, sate soup, banh mi or any meal — and is a daily ritual for many of our regular customers across northeast Calgary.

How We Make It

We brew each Cà Phê Sữa Đá to order in its own phin filter — never pre-batched. The slow drip extraction is what gives Vietnamese coffee its unmistakable depth and character.
